Friends and Family,
By now you have read or heard about the helicopter crash that killed 31 souls. 27 were from my battalion. Charlie company to be exact. Now that it is public knowledge and the families have been notified it is ok for me to mention it. Fortunately, I was on an earlier flight that night. Please remember these brave men. I knew most of them well and cannot believe they are gone.
We were moving and have moved from Fallujah to Hit. It's now the place to be. So here we are. I thank you for your thoughts and prayers. God bless.
Oh man. "The place to be." That doesn't sound good. I can't imagine losing 27 acquaintances in one day. I don't know how W sleeps at night.

My gosh, how close to home this latest American loss has to hit! I agree with Abby, how W makes it through another day thinking he's a saving grace is mind-boggling.

Hi, greetings from Finland, and sorry to hear about your acquaintance's loss, here up north we wish the nonsensical killing was over just as much as you guys do.
Thanks for a good read through your blog -- it both evokes thoughts and makes my mouth water!
