the Arno River, Florence, Italy
Buongiorno de Milano. The food is of course heavenly ~ a simple caprese salad with tomato, mozzarella and basil is a dream and a slice of proscuitto wrapped around a thin breadstick - well life just doesn't get much better than that! I'm headed to Florence tomorrow :-)
“To be in Tuscany is heaven...somewhere north of Rome, on a stretch where town and country, sunlight and seascape, exist in spectacular harmony, one will be struck by the near certainty that here lies the most perfect spot on Earth. Art, architecture, literature, history have done much to embellish what was already quite flawless.” -from Condé Nast Traveler
ciao, ciao.....et mangia bene!
now i really envy you... i love italy soooooooo much! there's a great pizza place near bocconi (sorry can't remember the name) and in florence, go out from the city centre for great food... and if you like dessert wine, try moscato d'asti - it's just the best.. ;)

Oh, Italy. I'm so jealous.
I actually came here hoping for something to inspire my lunch making, and oh, perfect, tomatoes and mozarella. Classic!
