Ouah my favorite food. The first time I hate it in the USA, it was a surprise as ordering scallops (ressembling escalope in frenc) I expected veal meat. I was delighted to see "coquilles StJacques" and I have eaten many since with delight.

Oh, if only I could find scallops still in their shells with their roe here in San Francisco! So beautiful.

aren't they amazing!? i made some a few weeks ago. straight from their shells to the saute pan. magnifique!
