Hi Laura,
These are "piment antillais" : chilies from the caribbean. They are very very hot. In the french caribbean they use them whole to give flavour to a dish and remove it before serving or they use a small part of the chili (the size of a 20 cents euro coin). See you soon.

Hi Pascale - Merci beaucoup! I have never really cooked with whole "piments" like these spicy devils so I am a bit apprehensive. They were so beautiful though I had to take a picture. a demain!? Laura ps: I went to Da Rosa - what an amazing store! I wanted to buy one of everything...
