lavender ice cream made with lavender infused crème anglaise
Laura: "Hi Mom."
Mom: "Hi Laura."
Laura: "Quick question. I'm making dinner and the recipe says to simmer. What's simmer?"
Mom: "Huh?"
Laura: "What does simmer mean?"
Mom: "You're telling me you don't know what simmer means?!?!"
Laura: "If I knew what it meant, I wouldn't be calling you!"

Hey, looks good and by looking at it (the ice cream not the whole plate), I wouldn't have guessed there was lavender in it. That's one kind of ice cream I should try !

Hi Lil -- Cassis sounds great and we have some on hand should the craving for a kir strike (which is rather often...). I'll definitely give it a try!
Hi Cindy -- It turned out really lovely, not too strong or overpowering. i love doing 'blind' tastings and have friends guess the flavor.
